INSTRUCTIONS






Week 1
This week Mr Kannan briefed us about Game Art we need to brainstorm of our exercise.

Week 2
This week we start to think about our execise : World creation. W
e are to choose a game that you intend to alter the art direction/aesthetics. Based on our choice we are to then create a world with collections of reference and extracting information/components which explains the following:
  1. Time
  2. Era
  3. Ambience and mood
  4. Back story
  5. Crisis
  6. Culture – design component representing their race, worship, colors, materials used, etc
  7. Ecosystem – who lives there, what do they do, animals, creatures, flora etc
  8. Geolocation – plain, mountain pass, dungeons, temples ruins, highlands, sea, river, forest etc.
  9. Architectural design – structure, monuments, relics etc
  10. Resource – nuclear, oil, crystal etc
  11. Genre – Horror, Comedy, Drama etc
  12. Target audience – range max to 8 years
  13. Theme - (Fantasy – South East Asian) + Sci-fi, Post War, Post Apocalypse, Medieval, etc.
  14. Classes/hierarchy
  15. Transport – man made, animal, hybrids, portals etc.

Week 3
This week we need to do the silhouettes of our characters. Think about our game proposal. Think about character classes.

Week 4
We need to continue doing our character process, do the sketches and silhouettes, then we need to do the value studies and add colors. We need to do those before week 7. We also need to explore weapons. Make the sketches loose first.




FEEDBACK
Mr Kannan said my world creation is fine, he let me add the culture to the world I create. He think I can continue my work on the 3 character scatches and progress them further.


REFLECTION
This semester, we have game art with Mr Kannan. Mr Kannan is a great teacher. He describe detaily about what we need to do for each week, what requiremet we need to meet. He also teach us skills to draw the character. We first build our character with simple shapes, and then we make the proportion looks fine and do things further, such as value study with black and white to study the lighting etc. We also need to polish and sculpt one character. This class is fun and I learnt a lot from it.
