24.08.2020 (Week 1)

Lecture 1 : Introduction

Today, we meet our lecturers, Mr Martin and Mr Fauzi. Most International students like me can't attend classes face to face so we had an online lecture through Zoom, and will be having classes online for 1 whole semester. Mr Fauzi explained to us what is Digital Photography and Imaging and showed us briefly how to make pretty collages, and showed us a few videos of him making them. While Mr. Martin gave us the demo of Adobe Photoshop and what it is used for and both lecturers also showed us some examples of our senior's best works.

07.09.2020 (Week 3)

Lecture 2 : Paths, Masking, Layering

Exercise 1

For this exercise, we need to use images provided by Mr Fauzi and turn them into a composition of photos by using Double-Exposure & Blending Modes.

We were instructed to do this in A4 canvas and create 3 compositions from the design elements provided by Mr Fauzi.

14.09.2020 (Week 4)

Lecture 3 : Match Lighting,Adjustment Layers,Filters

Mr.Fauzi taught us briefly about Blending Modes, Adjustment Layers, Filters and how to control them using Masks and Opacity.

Mr.Fauzi also instructed us to do 3 compositions using different design elements this time. We should apply everything we know about Blending Modes, Masking and doing Double-Exposure effects.

Exercise 2

21.09.2020 (Week 5)

Lecture 4 : Exposure(Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO)

And told us to prepare for Project 2A : Self Titled

Reflections :

Week 1 :

We can't attend physical classes at campus because of the covid-19 virus, so we had the class in zoom.

Week 2 :

Malaysian's Independence Day.

Week 3 :

Mr Fauzi went through everyone's exercises in details. He also personally gave us feedbacks through Google Classroom. I think Mr Fauzi is a good teacher and his class is interesting.

Week 4 :

In week 4, we have to improve our collage work. Mr. Fauzi gave us feedback about what we need to improve.
